About Us
Speedstream is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), primarily providing uncapped Internet access in the Helderberg area as well as towards Cape town.

We specialize in Great Internet Connectivity and strive to give best effort service!

As with many companies we started as GAJ Computers in 2011 and have been steadily growing and started providing Internet Services to our clients. Then in 2017 the wireless department continued as a separate entity and a core group of wireless enthusiasts joined Speedstream.
Separating ourselves from the IT Company GAJ Computers meant that we now could specialize in wireless internet and associated services - only without the distraction of the day-to-day grind of IT related problems - GAJ Computers still provide their services as IT specialists! In fact we work very closely with them still :-)

"We do Wireless!" With built-in redundancy and power backups, we continue to grow and strive to be 100% online. We are constantly expanding and upgrading our network and inventing new ways to make it better and faster.
Services
Our internet access packages starts at 3 Mbps & 4 Mbps speed and our most popular is 6 Mbps for a home user, going up to 20Mbps for Business & Corporate Customers, Schools, etc. 50Mbps and higher is available at your request.

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a value added service available with the internet service and is well received where Telkom services are no longer available and/or cell phone reception is problematic. Apart from internet and VoIP, our high speed wireless network can also be used for CCTV and VPN links if you require it.

We also plan and built dedicated short or long distance wireless links to individual requirements.

Our vision is to bring reliable and affordable "always on" broadband services with its associated benefits to the community.

If you are in our coverage area, we should be able to offer you service. However, we do not connect clients if there is any doubt that their connection will not be stable. In order to ensure this, a free site survey is usually required to check line of sight to our nearest access point or high site.

We will not attempt to connect a client who is at a considerable distance from our service. Your site survey will determine whether we can successfully transmit over the distance.

We do not connect clients who do not have clear line of sight. If there are trees, buildings, or other physical structures in the way, and no place to mount an antenna where we can see past these, we will not install an antenna, and will attempt to refer you to someone else who may be able to provide service in another direction.

As technology uptake increases and more devices transmit wireless signals, there is increasing wireless "noise" in populated areas. Certain areas are so noisy that we are unable to offer a reliable service there. We will not connect you to our service if this is the case.
